Thus ended the school year at the Querétaro Luthiery School, without students or teachers. The pandemic left unfinished projects; that viola and that cello will be continued by the next student. We left behind the instruments we made with so much dedication; they were never ours, but they felt like our own. And so each one left their mark, in instruments and in anecdotes.

We left school abruptly, with no idea that that day would be the last of classes, at least not at school. We graduated as best we could.

And so Sacconni's workshop remains, empty. The teaching center of maestro Antonio Ontiveros, our guide under construction, and maestro Tania Zepeda, under restoration. What a joy it was to be their student. I hope that classroom will soon be filled again, though it will be with new generations.
